Max Holloway Is Out Of His Fight Against Yair Rodriguez


Holloway (22-6 MMA, 18-6 UFC) was scheduled to fight Yair Rodriguez (13-2 MMA, 8-1 UFC) at UFC on ESPN 26. But due to undisclosed injury Holloway has withdrawn himself from fight.

Carlos Contreras Legaspi an ESPN MMA journalist announced this “Breaking: Max Holloway is out of the July 17th. Main event vs. Yair Rodríguez, promotion looking to re schedule the fight (per sources)”

Max Hollaway Is currently #1 ranked featherweight in the world & Yair Rodríguez is ranked #3 therefore potentially winner of this match was supposed to get his title shot.

Currently Alexander Volkanovski & Brian Ortega hosting TUF and they will ultimately fight for the title.

Edson Barboza who was preparing as potential replacement for this fight. it is possibility that he might replace Max Hollaway but still we have to wait untill official announcement come from UFC’s Officials.

Georgian mixed martial artist Giga Chikadze also shown interest as a possible replacement for any of the fighter.

Now with max out of this fight, it will be interested to see who will replace him or the fight will be postponed.
